bikini belly

Here is the 7 month photo for those of you who have been anxiously waiting. I got some snarky feedback for my peeking belly on this pic (thanks Plett) so I figured I might as well let it all hang out on this one. Plus the temperature has been mid 30's and it's too hot for much else anyway. I realize this is getting to be a little odd with only posting pictures of myself but I'm sure that will taper off rapidly once I have the baby.

Since the last post we've had several great sets of company, said goodbye to our decrepit car and purchased a "new" one. Not bad for a few weeks, considering our social schedule is usually pretty slack and we drove the same car for 10 years. It was quite a stroke of luck that both the car kicking off and the weather turning amazing happened while Jeremy was on holidays.

This prego is starting to feel the third trimester creeping up. More grunting and exclamations of surprise when I get jabbed hard in sensitive spots. I'm becoming more entertaining as it gets interesting to watch the belly jump and wiggle on it's own. Suddenly the baby is starting to seem very real...

That. Is. Awesome.

You're my new hero. Seriously.

As for car shopping - next time you should commission my dad to come out and get you a smokin' deal. He lives to haggle and I have yet to see him not get what he wants. He got us a sweet deal on our most recent car, though it still wasn't stress free as I was sure they weren't going to go for it. In my mind he was totally ripping them off, but in the end they agreed with his terms. People like that amaze me.

Ha, I can just picture your dad doing that and talking circles around salesmen. His plane ticket probably would have more than paid for itself.

We have a friend here that is amazing at that too, we have occasionally enlisted him for help. Strangely enough, they ended up buying a used CR-V this week too and I dread hearing how they got their two-year newer, 20k less vehicle for half the price we paid! Water under the bridge...

No worries Teri, and thanks! I'll be happy to take what I can get, when I get it. Are you still coming up in July?

yes, we'll be there end of July/beginning of August. I can't wait to go "home"! I'll find as many dipes as I can, too. I know my friend in Dawson Creek has quite a few and I don't know when I'm getting those (those are most of my smalls) but I should have some stuff here for you :) And I'm hoping your littlest one will make an appearance before we get there. I want to meet him! LOL!

Oh please, please let him arrive before August...

I've got a decent collection of diapers going but some of them are pretty beat so if you're still willing to share that's great. How do cloth diapers get to be an obsession? It's the strangest thing. I have a friend who is starting cloth with her first and is keeping her eyes open for some Bummi's covers so if you have some leads let me know.

That last comment wasn't completely honest - I'm the one on the lookour for those diaper covers for HER, I don't know that she cares so much!

LOL! I'll keep my fingers crossed he arrives before August :)

Since most of the ones I have are bigger sized, it might work out well! And you can never have enough fluff! It is an obsession! I don't understand it myself, but it's so easy to get carried away. LOL! of course, I'm a collector too, so I tend to go overboard.

I know I had a few small Bummis covers. I'll see if I have them or if my friend does. Has she used them before? I wasn't a big fan, but maybe it was just how they fit Jake.

She hasn't used them before but the diaper service recommends the whisper wraps - apparently they're good with prefolds? I didn't have much luck with that but didn't either try very hard. Which ones worked for you?

Tannis, you are just beautiful .. one of those women who should be barefoot and pregnant ... you wear it well ... what's the chance you won't have a beach baby?! Hope your last little while goes well and the weather isn't too hot. Carol

You mean what are the chances I'll have the baby on the beach?! Pretty good if the weather is nice, I'd hate to miss a day.

Thanks for the compliment, this pregnancy is taking it really easy on me and is a bit of a mystery, but I'll take it. I'm just hoping it doesn't mean little buddy is going to try to stay in too long.
